About the Role
This position is responsible for leading the e-commerce key account team, driving the growth of online sales channels, and ensuring the implementation of best-in-class online store standards. The role combines strategic planning, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance brand visibility and performance in the digital retail space.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Planning & Execution
Develop and implement strategic sales and online media plans for key e-commerce accounts, including retail media initiatives
Achieve key performance indicators such as sales volume, profit and loss targets, distribution, return on sales (ROS), conversion rates, and online merchandising standards
Ensure the brand’s online presence is optimized through the consistent application of digital merchandising best practices
Promotions & Data Management
Oversee the timely and effective execution of promotional campaigns
Ensure accurate entry and use of call and audit data to support team development
Encourage the team to contribute to case studies and share insights for broader learning
Team Training & Development
Train and coach team members to maximize individual and collective performance
Monitor team progress against performance goals, providing regular feedback and addressing underperformance
Foster a collaborative, positive, and creative team culture
Management & Communication
Complete administrative tasks accurately and on schedule
Ensure all team members understand their roles and responsibilities and adhere to established processes
Participate in key account negotiations alongside sales representatives (expected field presence: 2–3 days per week)
Provide the team with the necessary tools and information to perform effectively
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and international counterparts
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 7 years of experience in the consumer goods industry, with a proven track record in sales, marketing, and insights
At least 5 years of experience in e-commerce, with additional experience in digital marketing or technology being a plus
Business-level fluency in both English and Japanese (written and spoken)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience in management reporting and budget control
Strong presentation and communication skills
