Retail Sales Development – Assistant Manager

About the Role
This position involves supporting the sales development team by leading operational initiatives, monitoring market trends, and tracking competitor activities. The role acts as a bridge between stores and headquarters, ensuring smooth communication across departments. Responsibilities include supporting store sales, promotional activities, and business partner management within department stores and commercial facilities. The position also contributes to store development, including openings and relocations.
Note: This role does not include direct management of store staff.
Key Responsibilities
1. Store Development (20%)
Negotiate renewals for existing stores.
Plan and coordinate renovations or relocations to improve store performance.
Handle pre-contract activities for new store openings.
2. Sales Promotion (50%)
Plan, execute, and review individual store sales campaigns using performance data.
Organize and evaluate pop-up events.
Prepare for openings of new or renovated stores and plan launch promotions.
Support media acquisition and promotional initiatives.
3. Sales Activities (30%)
Conduct client negotiations for key accounts.
Manage assigned stores, including regular client meetings and problem resolution.
Sales duties may vary seasonally.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in sales at a headquarters or corporate level.
Experience with department stores or commercial facilities.
Proven sales and negotiation experience in retail, preferably cosmetics, luxury goods, or apparel.
Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, IF functions), PowerPoint, and Word.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred:
Experience in store management roles (e.g., area manager, supervisor, store manager).
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong initiative and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work discreetly and handle confidential information.
