Job description:

• Coordinate and oversee technical activities relating to architecture projects, including directing the architectural designers, reviewing drafts, and directing local fabricator and oversee construction.

• Reporting to Studio Director, and manager (if any), Communicating directly with markets to discuss and organize projects from original concept design through construction.

• Coordinate relevant design details, and goals in clear and persuasive language with relevant parties such as market leaders, project managers, and contractors.

• Coordinate and manage projects to ensure they are executed according to schedule, maintaining quality standards while preventing significant fluctuations in costs. In the event of a potential major deviation from the set goals, quick communication and collaboration with superiors and relevant stakeholders are essential, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to respond promptly and effectively.

• Assess potential projects for feasibility by researching and analyzing associated technology, design requirements, governmental regulations, and market demand for Japan.

• Remain up-to-date with current and trending elements of design, construction, and technology by reading industry publications, manuals, and textbooks and attending professional development courses and events as time permits.

• Innovate and develop new standards, policies, and procedures for architectural design development as necessary to maximize efficiency.

 

Job Skills & Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or related discipline, plus minimum five years’ experience, including AutoCAD drafting and BIM modelling.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills along with presentation techniques

• Ability to effectively lead and inspire a team

• Strict adherence to deadlines

• Professional Architecture license

 

Preferred:

• Well versed with architectural software such as AutoCAD, Sketchup and Rhino

• LEED certification and understanding of sustainable design

• Experience on Revit/BIM

• Japanese Architecture license

• Fluency in English / Japanese
