Job Responsibilities

  • Carry out data processing workflows for next-generation sequencing (NGS) projects.

  • Offer post-sales support for analysis services, including responding to customer inquiries by phone, email, or in-person visits.

  • Analyze genetic sequence data for tasks such as identifying organisms or determining genetic variations.

  • Use tools such as Perl, R, and Excel VBA to perform data analysis.

  • Help create and introduce new analysis services.

  • Provide expert guidance on NGS and share the latest updates with clients.

  • Oversee the progress and timely delivery of NGS-related projects.

  • Interpret bioinformatics data and share final results with customers.

  • Create, review, and apply standard procedures to ensure consistent quality and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science-related field

  • Basic knowledge of molecular biology (regardless of department or major)

  • Fluent in Japanese

  • Experience operating Linux systems

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate complex information efficiently, accurately, and clearly

  • Ability to work quickly and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a customer-oriented environment

  • Basic English skills (at least high school graduation level)

Preferred Experience / Skills / Certifications:

  •  Experience analyzing next-generation sequencing (NGS) data

  •  Experience analyzing large-scale biological data (e.g., microarray, GWAS)

  • Degree in informatics, bioinformatics, simulation, or related fields

  •  Experience developing algorithms

  •  Experience performing contract analysis in a corporate setting

  • Experience submitting papers to peer-reviewed international journals

  • Basic conversational English skills
