Location: Osaka, Japan (with occasional travel domestically and internationally)

Overview

This position is part of a growing international company in the premium beverage industry, supporting sales expansion across the Kansai region.

Since entering the Asian market in recent years, the company has experienced strong growth, particularly within the premium spirits category in Japan. As part of this expansion, a regional office was established in Osaka, with a rapidly increasing network of retail and hospitality partners across Western Japan.

The Account Specialist will play a key role in developing new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and contributing to overall sales performance. This is a hands-on role offering direct impact on business growth within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and approach new clients to expand distribution channels

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing accounts to increase sales volume and product range

  • Develop partnerships across various channels, including retail, hospitality, and department stores

  • Participate in promotional events and brand activations to increase awareness and drive revenue

  • Analyze sales performance using CRM tools and implement strategies to improve results

  • Collaborate with marketing and regional teams to share insights and align on business strategies

Requirements
Essential Qualifications
  • Approximately 3 years of experience in sales or business development (industry open)

  • Strong interest in premium consumer products, such as beverages, luxury goods, or hospitality

  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency

  • Willingness to travel as required

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in food & beverage, alcohol, hospitality, or related industries

  • Background in a startup or fast-growing business environment

  • Experience in team coordination or leadership

  • Analytical skills and familiarity with CRM systems
