About the Role
A technology company within a major global automotive group is seeking a Business Analyst to join its Analytics & Strategy team.
This team functions as a management-oriented analytical unit within the company’s digital strategy organization. In a fast-evolving business environment with few predefined answers, the group approaches challenges by questioning underlying causes and driving strategic decisions through data-based insights.
This is not an advertising operations or product management role. Instead, it is a strategic analytical position that works closely with business stakeholders to define problems, design analytical approaches, and provide evidence-based recommendations that shape business direction.

Digital Strategy Division: approximately 45 members
Analytics & Strategy Group: 9 members (including this position)
Data Science Team: 2 members
Data Operations Team: 10 members
Data Growth Team: 10 members
Creative Team: 12 members
Process Improvement Team: 2 members
Key Responsibilities
Conduct customer and business performance analysis across web and mobile application services
Analyze payment data, customer demographics, and web log data to evaluate business and product outcomes
Identify and structure business challenges based on data insights
Respond to analytical requests from product managers, engineers, customer support, and other stakeholders
Proactively identify areas for improvement and define analytical themes
Design analytical frameworks, execute SQL-based analysis, and present findings with actionable recommendations
Collaborate with product managers on multiple concurrent projects depending on scope and complexity
Support fact-based decision-making across various products and teams
Core Work Activities
Perform advanced SQL analysis, including complex queries and processing of raw log data
Plan and implement tracking/tag setup to ensure accurate and reliable data collection
Propose optimization initiatives using web analytics tools
Work alongside business teams to maximize effective use of web technologies and data
Integrate quantitative data analysis with qualitative inputs such as customer surveys, interviews, and voice-of-customer feedback

Required Qualifications
Experience conducting complex, non-standard SQL analysis (including advanced subqueries)
Experience performing customer and business analysis in e-commerce or subscription-based business models
Experience gathering business requirements, designing analytical scenarios, and delivering final reports with recommendations
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using tag management tools (e.g., Google Tag Manager or similar platforms)
JavaScript knowledge for tag implementation
Experience in customer journey mapping
Experience designing marketing automation scenarios
Certifications in web analytics or statistics (intermediate level or above preferred)
Marketing experience such as campaign planning or advertising operations
Cross-industry experience in areas such as retail, manufacturing, finance, or consulting

Strong ability to interpret customer behavior and underlying psychology from data
Naturally inquisitive, with a tendency to question surface-level metrics and explore root causes
Effective communicator who collaborates well across cross-functional teams
Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and able to drive alignment using data-driven insights

Programming Languages: SQL, Python
Tag Management: Tag management platforms (e.g., GTM)
Web Analytics: Analytics tools and A/B testing platforms
BI Tools: Business intelligence dashboards (e.g., cloud-based visualization tools)
