Microbiology Sales Specialist
Overview
The Microbiology Sales Specialist will drive sales activities for the company’s microbiology portfolio and support the development and execution of KOL engagement strategies within the assigned territory. The role works closely with regional account sales teams to achieve revenue targets and implement regional plans.
This position sits within the Microbiology Business Unit (Sales Promotion) and is based in Tokyo, primarily covering the Tokyo metropolitan and Kanto areas. Future reassignment or relocation within Japan may be required.
We are seeking motivated candidates to help sustain and expand a well-established microbiology business within Japan’s IVD market. A hybrid work model is available, combining on-site work in Tokyo with remote work. Full details will be discussed during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities
Support and develop key customer accounts across the Tokyo metropolitan area
Partner with regional account sales to promote and sell microbiology products
Work cross-functionally with scientific affairs and marketing to build and maintain KOL relationships
Coordinate with internal customer support functions to ensure high service levels
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Native-level Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent)
Preferred
5+ years of sales experience or 5+ years of microbiology laboratory experience
Prior experience in the diagnostics industry
Business-level English communication skills
