Role Overview

The Business Development Manager will lead market expansion efforts by proactively promoting the company’s payment service solutions. This role is responsible for acquiring new merchants, driving growth within the existing customer base, and guiding a sales team to meet and exceed revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development initiatives to expand merchant adoption of payment service offerings

  • Drive new client acquisition while also deepening relationships with existing customers to grow revenue

  • Manage and mentor sales team members to improve overall sales performance and execution

  • Share insights gained through team management and field activities to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in face-to-face B2B sales

  • 5+ years of experience leading a sales team, preferably within the financial services industry

  • Strong commitment to achieving sales targets with a results-driven mindset

  • Excellent communication and customer engagement skills

  • Native-level Japanese proficiency; business English is a plus

Work Conditions

  • Standard hours: 9:30–18:30

  • Flexible working system with core hours of 10:30–16:00

  • Weekends and national holidays off

  • Probation period: 3 months (no changes in compensation or benefits)
