Role Overview

The company is seeking a highly motivated Sales Engineer with a strong background in cybersecurity and cloud technologies, and established experience working with telecommunications customers.

This role is responsible for leading technical pre-sales activities, managing customer technical relationships, and designing solutions that align with both business objectives and technical requirements. You will work closely with sales teams to support account strategies and drive revenue growth through consultative, solution-oriented engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical pre-sales engagements and manage customer technical relationships

  • Partner closely with Sales Account Managers to develop account strategies using established sales methodologies

  • Drive revenue growth by managing the full pre-sales technical process and promoting cybersecurity and application delivery solutions

  • Design and propose solutions tailored to customer business and technical needs using the company’s product and service portfolio

  • Educate customers and partners through presentations, meetings, demonstrations, and technical evaluations

  • Support proposal development with a consultative approach based on industry best practices and technical expertise

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and internal teams to deliver timely updates, solutions, and event-related information to customers

  • Respond to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs with detailed, well-documented technical solutions

  • Plan and manage product demonstrations and proof-of-concept engagements

  • Ensure compliance with internal pre-sales processes, including activity tracking and reporting

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in network and application security, pre-sales engineering, or hands-on work with web or database-based solutions

    • At least 3 years in a Sales Engineer or equivalent customer-facing technical role preferred

  • Strong understanding of networking and security architectures in on-premise and cloud environments

  • Solid knowledge of:

    • Routing, switching, TCP/IP, HTTP

    • Load balancing and application delivery

    • Reverse proxies, caching, CDN, compression

    • Firewalls (next-generation), DDoS protection (network and application level)

  • Strong background in application security, including API security and bot mitigation

  • Experience or familiarity with major security and networking platforms and vendors is preferred

  • Knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
