【JOB RESPONSIBILITIES】
As Director of Marketing & Professional Education, you will mentor and manage teams
responsible for the coordination and support of multiple products and programs. This entails overseeing strategic direction for projects throughout the various stages of device and program life cycles, including, but not limited to, conducting research on clinical and customer needs, market data, clinical evaluations, sales trials, product launches, post-market surveillance, inventory management and field support.
Provide leadership on product and program development or enhancement projects, including, design input and validation, product positioning, clinical data research and compilation, post-market surveillance, labels, Customer Experience Report (CER), and Instructions for Use (IFU)
Stay updated on current market and surgical procedure information
Strengthen and maintain relationships with thought leaders in Japan to accurately understand clinical needs
Protect and build product brands, including participation and contribution to organized national and international meetings and congresses
Identify team needs and manage cost center budgets
Actively participate in the recruitment, hiring and development of new team members
Mentor team members and build a highly effective team
Provide clear goals and expectations to the team
Address team members' career goals and provide coaching and development
Work closely with cross-departmental leadership to build bridges and achieve strategic company goals
Coaching and development of Clinical Development and Clinical Education teams
Product and program related projects may require cooperation with Engineering,
Planning, Regulatory, Global Education, and Field Implementation teams
General product and program, competitive analysis and relevant reports should be shared and presented to the Clinical Development team members at the home office in California and other locations
Product/program launches and trade shows will require collaboration with the Education, Branding, Field Implementation and international Clinical Development teams
【REQUIREMENTS】
Over 8 years of business-to-business (B2B) experience in Japan’s medical device industry. Preferably working in medical devices sales or marketing, clinical support,or in operating theatres
At least 6 years of project and product management experience in Japan’s medical device industry with 4 or more years managing or mentoring teams
Excellent oral and written skills in the English language
Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Windows PC applications
