[RESPONSIBILITIES]

  • Lead all external communications in Japan, including crisis management and proactive media relations

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with media, agencies, and internal stakeholders

  • Manage press announcements, create positive stories around the business, and increase media coverage

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as HR, Legal, Ops, and Recruiting

  • Set up and maintain internal communication frameworks to ensure alignment across teams

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for communication needs during crises

 

[REQUIREMENTS]

  • Proven experience in high-stakes communications, PR, or media relations in Japan.

  • Strong crisis management and negotiation skills.

  • Fluent in Japanese and English.

  • Able to operate independently and get things done under pressure

  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to handle ambiguity and juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
