[RESPONSIBILITIES]
Lead all external communications in Japan, including crisis management and proactive media relations
Develop and maintain strong relationships with media, agencies, and internal stakeholders
Manage press announcements, create positive stories around the business, and increase media coverage
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as HR, Legal, Ops, and Recruiting
Set up and maintain internal communication frameworks to ensure alignment across teams
Serve as the primary point of contact for communication needs during crises
[REQUIREMENTS]
Proven experience in high-stakes communications, PR, or media relations in Japan.
Strong crisis management and negotiation skills.
Fluent in Japanese and English.
Able to operate independently and get things done under pressure
Excellent writing, storytelling, and interpersonal skills.
Able to handle ambiguity and juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
