Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, test, troubleshoot, and repair analytical laboratory instruments to the Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) level.
Identify and resolve complex technical issues using independent judgment.
Review past service records to determine root causes of equipment problems.
Assemble and disassemble instruments and related components as needed.
Support pre-staging activities to ensure instruments are fully functional before transfer to sales inventory.
Perform electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, PLC, fluidics, gas, and electrical repairs.
Provide on-the-job training to Field Service Engineers on preventive maintenance, calibration, and service procedures.
Support upgrade activities, including system calibration and configuration.
Maintain adequate spare parts inventory and place orders as needed according to company procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Several years of experience repairing and servicing analytical laboratory instruments.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong customer service mindset and understanding of after-sales support.
Good communication and interpersonal skills for customer-facing work.
Detail-oriented and able to work well with cross-functional teams.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Fluent Japanese and conversational English.
Willingness and ability to travel within the APAC region.
