Main Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Direction & Planning
    • Shape and execute the annual trade marketing roadmap in line with key brand and commercial objectives.
    • Leverage market intelligence and consumer insights to uncover growth drivers, strengthen competitive positioning, and reach emerging audiences.
    • Partner closely with Marketing, Communications, Retail, and Merchandising teams globally and locally to maintain cohesive brand execution.
    • Establish measurable goals and continuously assess performance to maximize marketing effectiveness and ROI.

  2. Promotions & Campaign Execution
    • Lead the rollout of nationwide promotional activities and shopper engagement programs.
    • Review and steer localized campaign assets including direct mail, digital communication, catalogs, and in-store materials.
    • Utilize CRM data to enhance segmentation and deliver more relevant customer interactions.
    • Administer promotional budgets, track results, and prepare reporting for senior leadership and global partners.

  3. Events & Brand Activation
    • Provide high-level guidance for brand events including PR activations, retail experiences, pop-ups, and VIP initiatives.
    • Direct creative development and final approvals in collaboration with international and local teams.
    • Ensure all activations strengthen brand desirability and support sales goals.

  4. Team Leadership & Financial Oversight
    • Manage and mentor the Trade Marketing team to drive strong collaboration and performance.
    • Oversee budget planning and resource allocation with a focus on cost efficiency.
    • Partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders (CRM, Retail, Merchandising, Communications) to deliver cohesive execution.

Required Experience & Skills

• 10+ years in trade, brand, or retail marketing, preferably within luxury or premium consumer categories.
• Demonstrated success in strategic planning and delivering marketing initiatives with measurable business impact.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to extract insights from data.
• Exceptional leadership and team development capabilities.
• Effective communicator and presenter in both Japanese and English.
• Highly organized, proactive, and skilled at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
