Role Summary:
Strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of multiple programs.
Ensures programs are executed efficiently, meet organizational objectives, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic direction for the program management office (PMO), aligning objectives with organizational goals.
Oversee a portfolio of programs, ensuring they achieve strategic, operational, and financial targets.
Develop and improve program management processes, methodologies, and standards for efficiency and effectiveness.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, executives, and department leaders.
Lead, coach, and mentor project and program managers, fostering high performance and continuous development.
Integrate program deliverables with business operations to ensure smooth transitions and sustained impact.
Manage program-level resource planning and allocation in collaboration with finance and HR.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans across programs.
Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the PMO, including adoption of new tools and best practices.
Represent the PMO in executive meetings, providing updates on program performance, risks, and opportunities.
Lead strategic initiatives beyond standard program management to support organizational growth.
Utilize PSA systems for resource tracking, capacity planning, and project delivery monitoring.
Oversee revenue forecasting and ensure timely, accurate reporting to leadership.
Address team escalations promptly, communicating with stakeholders and mitigating risks.
Lead training, upskilling, and capability development for the delivery organization.
Support recruitment, including hiring, interviewing, and talent development for the Japan delivery team.
Skills & Experience Required:
Extensive experience managing large-scale, complex programs in dynamic environments.
Proven senior leadership experience with the ability to influence strategic decisions.
Experience leading a PMO or similar function, building high-performing teams, and delivering results.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and team-building skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders, including executives.
Strong analytical and financial acumen with budget oversight experience.
Familiarity with program and project management tools, methodologies, and software.
Fluent in Japanese and English, with clear communication of technical concepts in both languages.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Certified Management Consultant) preferred.
Industry-specific or software experience may be required depending on consultancy focus.
