To support critical IT operational functions within the Japan office of our client and all retail locations within Japan.
This includes desktop support, keeping software up to date and to work together with the regional office to implement new solutions as they are being introduced.
You will also have to manage external Vendors when needed.
You will be supporting Japanese speaking end-users and communicating with regional IT team.
Bilingual ability in Japanese and English is required for this position.
Provide IT support and training for all staff in Japan, troubleshoot issues and problems related to IT systems and equipment.
Coordinate with vendors for external support when internal resources are inadequate.
Install new systems and equipment for new staff and new retail locations.
Ensure IT security standards are kept.
Facilitate solid communication between store staff, HQ and build relationships with staff.
Providing remote support.
Infrastructure setup when new stores open, including Meraki Firewall, Switches and POS equipment.
Network troubleshooting for retail locations.
Store Audit and on-site support for stores when needed.
You will report to the country IT manager and the regional IT manager.
MCSE, MSP, MCA and CCNA certifications are preferred
Several years of hands-on end-user desktop support experience. Retail experience is desired.
Experience with AD and Exchange.
Knowledge of Network troubleshooting and protocols
Knowledge of ticketing systems like Zendesk or similar and remote support tools like TeamViewer
Experience with O365 and Teams.
Bilingual Skills in Japanese/English
