JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The IT Manager will be responsible of ensuring software delivery to clients, manage internal and external stakeholder communication, oversee infrastructure and supervise overseas engineers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for applications and product deliveries
  • Bridge communication gap of business requirements and technical requirements, used for stakeholder communication and for outsourced partners to implement application features
  • Ensuring the smooth use existing applications by maintaining products and support users
  • Leading IT processes improvement plans
  • Manage external partners (card service providers, outsourced engineers)
  • Interaction with internal stakeholders (local department members in Japan, regional IT team members and Global HQ, off-shore development team)

【MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

This is not a hands-on engineering position, but we require technical knowledge in order to manage projects, analyze issues, understand business processes (looking at DB) in order to facilitate activities for engineers.

  • Minimum 5 years total work experience in similar functions, such as:
    • Project delivery
    • Software application specifications
    • Previous technical background, such as development and testing (including integration between front, middle and back office systems) or system management and technical support
  • Windows environment
  • Ability to plan with cost consciousness and commit to deadlines
  • Experience with coordination of vendors (external developers)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organizational skills, hands-on attitude
  • Fluent Japanese and Business level English with excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work with an international team

DESIRABLE

  • Team management experience and ability to collaborate with remote teams
  • Functional requirements writing
  • Some DB knowledge (SQL databases, MS SQL server)
  • Understanding of programming languages: C# .net **we are not looking for someone to do coding
  • Customer sensitivity: ability put oneself in the shoes of a customer (internal or external) to listen and understand needs
  • Industry experience such as: FinTech, payment systems, CRM systems, POS
