Job Title: Associate Director, Client Relationship Management (Japan)

Reporting Line: Reports to Senior Leadership within Institutional Client Services (Japan)
Overview
This Tokyo-based role acts as a local representative for a global investment management firm. The position primarily supports relationship management activities for institutional clients in Japan, while also collaborating with overseas teams.
The role involves working closely with multiple internal departments such as operations, marketing, product, and investment teams to ensure seamless client service delivery. The organization promotes an inclusive and collaborative culture, valuing diversity across its workforce and client base.
Key Responsibilities
Support preparation for client meetings, presentations, and conference calls
Collect and manage portfolio-related data and information
Produce customized client reports and complete client questionnaires
Respond to client inquiries by analyzing requests and providing appropriate solutions
Create and update presentation materials and maintain internal databases
Assist with client visits alongside senior team members
Coordinate with global teams to obtain product and strategic insights
Translate and update marketing and presentation materials
Work cross-functionally to ensure high-quality and consistent client service
Requirements
Fluency in both English and Japanese (spoken and written)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (advanced qualifications such as MBA or CFA are advantageous)
Approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred; high-potential candidates with strong motivation to learn are also encouraged to apply
Core Skills
Proficiency in financial and business tools (e.g., data platforms, spreadsheets, and presentation software)
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Japanese
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Preferred (Optional) Experience
Knowledge of asset classes such as real estate securities, equities, infrastructure investments, or income-focused instruments
Working Conditions
Standard working hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Flexibility to attend meetings or calls outside regular business hours when required
