Role Overview

This role serves as a central driver of brand marketing strategy and execution, working closely with brand leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve business and brand objectives. The Marketing Manager plays a key role in shaping communication strategies, ensuring consistent execution quality, and translating insights into impactful campaigns across digital and physical touchpoints.

The position focuses on building a strong, engaged consumer community while strengthening brand loyalty and driving meaningful brand conversations across social platforms, online communities, and experiential activations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Strategy & Communication

  • Develop and execute upper-funnel marketing strategies to drive awareness, reach, and consideration

  • Define brand storytelling frameworks and communication guidelines tailored to local target audiences

  • Leverage consumer insights, category trends, and cultural relevance to inform campaign narratives and content direction

2. Campaign Planning & Execution

  • Lead the end-to-end development and delivery of integrated campaigns across social, influencer, and offline channels

  • Manage media strategies and performance metrics related to awareness objectives, including reach, impressions, and video performance

  • Plan and execute brand-led initiatives, including offline activations and experiential events

  • Collaborate with regional teams to localize global campaigns while maintaining brand consistency

  • Ensure alignment across paid, owned, and earned media to maximize top-of-funnel impact

3. Social Media & Influencer Engagement

  • Develop localized content strategies and oversee content creation for owned social media channels to drive organic growth

  • Build and nurture a community of creators and influencers aligned with brand values

  • Identify, engage, and manage influencer partnerships to amplify brand messaging

  • Monitor influencer and content performance using engagement and reach metrics

4. Analytics & Performance Optimization

  • Define and track upper-funnel KPIs, including reach, impressions, engagement, video views, and brand search lift

  • Analyze campaign performance and media effectiveness to identify insights and optimization opportunities

  • Deliver clear reporting and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with digital commerce and social media teams to ensure a seamless consumer experience

  • Partner with regional and global stakeholders to align on priorities and adapt assets for the local market

  • Support consistent execution quality across all brand touchpoints

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, digital, social media, or community-focused roles; agency experience is a plus

  • Experience planning or supporting brand activations, including events and experiential marketing

  • Strong understanding of social platforms, online communities, and creator ecosystems

  • Fluent in Japanese and English, with the ability to translate technical or complex concepts into clear, consumer-friendly messaging

  • Strong interest in skincare, consumer education, and science-led beauty

  • Highly organized with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
