The focus is on operational follow-up, ensuring high customer satisfaction, and supporting commercial initiatives managed by the HQ.

The Sales Engineer will manage customer relationships by sharing feedback with HQ, supporting day-to-day operations related to orders and deliveries, and maintaining supply chain integrity. In addition, the role includes acting as a liaison between local clients and Engineering and Quality departments at HQ, ensuring accurate and timely communication throughout all phases of each project.

Main Responsibilities

1. Client Relations & Sales Support

  • Serve as the communication link between Japanese clients and HQ Engineering/Quality teams during all project phases.

  • Ensure sales performance and profitability goals are met within the Japanese market.

  • Respond quickly and accurately to technical and quality-related inquiries, and help implement continuous improvement initiatives.

2. Order, Delivery & Operational Oversight

  • Oversee daily operations related to customer orders, ensuring timely and accurate information exchange.

  • Anticipate and address potential supply chain issues to maintain on-time delivery.

  • Monitor key operational metrics (sales, profit, lead times), and propose improvements when needed.

3. Pricing & Negotiation

  • Manage pricing discussions with clients in line with company policy.

  • Maintain and update pricing documentation in alignment with HQ guidance.

  • Understand local customer expectations and coordinate with internal teams (including Logistics, Quality, and Engineering) to meet requirements.

4. Business Development & Coordination

  • Contribute to new business opportunities by cultivating strong client relationships.

  • Maintain regular reporting and communication with HQ and department leadership to align local execution with global strategies.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales within the automotive or motorcycle sector, ideally involving direct engagement with OEM clients.

  • Demonstrated experience working with international teams, with strong awareness of time zone and cultural differences—especially in collaboration with European partners.

  • Adaptable, responsive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

  • Native-level Japanese proficiency and business-level English are required; Italian language skills are a plus.

  • Highly detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
