Product & Program Manager – Ostomy Care

Overview
The Product & Program Manager will be responsible for leading marketing and patient support activities within the ostomy care business in Japan. This position is central to developing and executing strategies for product launches, healthcare professional engagement, and patient support programs. Working closely with internal teams in sales, clinical education, and digital marketing, the manager will ensure consistency with global and regional strategies while tailoring initiatives to the local market. The goal of this role is to expand market share, drive product adoption, and improve patient outcomes through impactful and data-driven engagement.

Key Objectives

  • Deliver annual revenue targets and product launch milestones for the Japan business.

  • Increase market share and strengthen the performance of new and existing products.

  • Plan and execute strategies for the patient support program across multiple channels.

  • Improve awareness and engagement through both online and offline marketing initiatives.

  • Expand membership and enhance the overall value of the patient support platform.

  • Plan and manage educational and marketing events such as conferences, webinars, and patient support sessions.

  • Collaborate with digital teams to improve communication platforms and user experience.

  • Build relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders to promote brand advocacy.

  • Ensure local execution aligns with regional and global business priorities.

Responsibilities

Product Marketing

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans consistent with regional and global goals.

  • Maintain deep product, market, and competitor knowledge to support commercial planning.

  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to guide decision-making.

  • Partner with Sales and Clinical teams to support pricing strategies, training, and launches.

  • Oversee marketing budgets and evaluate ROI for all initiatives.

  • Prepare forecasts and maintain up-to-date market models.

  • Develop and localize marketing materials suited to the Japanese market.

  • Deliver product and competitive training for internal stakeholders.

Patient Support Program

  • Lead initiatives designed to support patients throughout their treatment journey.

  • Develop educational content and materials for both healthcare professionals and patients.

  • Manage patient-focused events in-person and online.

  • Identify new opportunities to expand the program’s reach and effectiveness.

  • Adapt global content and create Japan-specific materials to ensure cultural and market relevance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in the medical device or healthcare industry preferred.

  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, patient engagement, or related functions desirable.

  • Experience working in a matrix organization and cross-functional environment.

  • Strong understanding of both traditional and digital marketing principles.

  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end product marketing campaigns and patient programs.

  • Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills with data-driven decision-making capability.

  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.

  • Familiarity with Japan’s healthcare market and regulatory landscape.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI.

  • Ability to localize and produce marketing materials in Japanese.
