Tier 1 US Alternative Investment firm with over $500 billion USD AUM globally and a strong track record in Real Estate, Infrastructure & Private Equity. The Tokyo office was established around 10 years ago and has one of Japans most successful and reputable Real Estate Investments teams.
Main responsibilities include:
Evaluate and execute RE investments in APAC, with focus in Japan
Conduct in-depth market research of prospective RE markets in APAC
Financial modelling and valuation of potential investment opportunities in different sectors, including office, retail, warehouses, and hotels.
Conduct in-depth due diligence on each transaction, i.e. travelling to the assets, meeting with management, coordinating with various advisors
Formulating investment strategies and business plans
Prepare written analyses of investment opportunities for investment committee.
2+ year of experience, ideally in RE acquisitions or IBD (ideally RE deal related)
Genuine interest in the real estate industry
excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong Japanese language skills (native or JLPT N1 lvl) as well as business level English skills are highly desirable
