Role Overview
A hospitality company is seeking a Reservations Agent to manage booking operations and support guest services. The role involves handling reservations, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring a high standard of accuracy and customer service. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Complete required training programs and assessments
Develop thorough knowledge of the property’s offerings, room types, and amenities
Maximize room sales through effective up-selling and revenue strategies
Review and verify all new, modified, and canceled reservations daily
Check arrival lists for individual and group bookings several days in advance
Ensure guest details, special requests, and pricing are accurate
Handle administrative tasks including correspondence, file management, and communications
Maintain a proactive approach to sales and identify potential opportunities
Support the reservations and group sales teams in optimizing revenue
Confirm accuracy of commission records and follow up as needed
Document declined bookings with appropriate reasons
Ensure all reservation correspondence is current and properly filed
Adhere to credit policies and contribute to revenue forecasting
Follow inventory and pricing control procedures
Keep guest and sales data updated according to reservation protocols
Deliver consistent, high-quality guest service
Ensure all reservation entries are complete and accurate
Assist team members with daily tasks and workload management
Maintain a clean and professional work environment
Comply with all company policies and reservation standards
Prioritize accuracy and quality in all reservation activities
Ensure team compliance with company rules and service standards
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
