A global leader in computational science and software solutions is seeking a Senior Account Manager to join its expanding commercial team in Japan. This role supports efforts to advance innovation in drug discovery and healthcare by delivering cutting-edge digital solutions to pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.
In this client-facing role, you’ll build and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the life sciences sector—from research scientists to executive leadership—while working closely with technical and product teams to promote and implement complex software and service offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet quarterly and annual revenue goals.
Identify new business opportunities and expand relationships with existing clients.
Organize and lead client meetings, product presentations, and technical seminars in collaboration with scientific support staff.
Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from proposal and quotation to contract negotiation and post-sale implementation.
Conduct client success activities aimed at long-term satisfaction and retention.
Collect market intelligence on local R&D trends, competitive positioning, and customer needs.
Provide regular business performance updates and market feedback to global leadership.
Partner with marketing teams to support Japan-focused campaigns and promotional events.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in software sales within scientific or technical domains.
Strong background in account planning, pipeline development, and forecasting.
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field is preferred.
Business-level proficiency in English, with the ability to lead meetings, create presentations, and draft documents in English (preferred).
