Position: Senior SAP Production Execution Consultant

Role Summary

The Senior SAP Production Execution Consultant will play a central role in a life sciences transformation program, focusing on manufacturing process alignment, shop floor integration, and operational readiness. This position requires deep SAP Production Execution expertise and the ability to bridge business operations and IT delivery teams in regulated environments.

The role is suited for an experienced consultant who can take ownership of workstreams, lead complex discussions with manufacturing stakeholders, and contribute to large-scale global SAP implementations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary interface between manufacturing operations, shop floor teams, and SAP functional consultants for Production Execution and Production Planning

  • Lead business process analysis and ensure alignment with global templates, SAP best practices, and local operational requirements

  • Facilitate workshops and requirement-gathering sessions with production, planning, and quality teams

  • Translate operational needs into functional specifications and guide implementation activities

  • Support system testing, data validation, and cutover activities from a manufacturing perspective

  • Contribute to training content and change management initiatives for production users

  • Ensure SAP Production Execution processes meet compliance, traceability, and reliability requirements in regulated environments

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration with related SAP modules such as PP, QM, EWM, and external MES solutions

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on SAP experience, with strong specialization in SAP Production Execution

  • Practical knowledge of related modules including PP, QM, WM/EWM, and MES integration

  • Experience participating in global or regional SAP programs, including at least two end-to-end SAP PE implementations

  • Strong understanding of production planning, shop floor control, batch management, and manufacturing execution

  • Advanced SAP PE configuration experience, such as order management, confirmations, control recipes, process instructions, and production versions

  • Ability to explain complex SAP concepts in clear, business-oriented terms

  • Solid understanding of GxP compliance and validation requirements

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English

  • Flexibility to work in fast-paced, changing project environments

  • Willingness to travel when required

  • Experience in regulated industries such as life sciences, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, healthcare, or consulting is highly preferred
