Role Overview
This position is a Senior Accountant role within the Finance team in Japan. The team consists of a Finance Manager, a Senior Accountant, and an Accountant. The role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial operations, supporting team efficiency, and contributing to continuous process improvement within the accounting function.
Key Responsibilities

Support the efficient and effective operation of the finance department by performing daily accounting tasks and reviewing the work of junior team members

Prioritize daily responsibilities to meet departmental and corporate deadlines while aligning accounting activities with overall business objectives

Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes

Support tax filings, audits, and statutory reporting requirements

Maintain and manage the General Ledger using an ERP system

Document accounting processes and procedures with a focus on continuous improvement

Coordinate and communicate with internal departments regarding accounting-related matters

Participate in cross-functional and finance-related projects

Perform additional accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned by the manager
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including tax filing exposure

At least 3 years of experience within a multinational company

Business-level proficiency in English

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Experience in people management or possession of a professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred
