Role Overview
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies that build brand equity and drive sustainable revenue growth for assigned categories. Marketing at the company is rooted in craftsmanship, values, and genuine human connection—not aggressive selling.
The role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, retail partners, and external agencies to deliver meaningful experiences through product launches, activations, and communications, ensuring strong consumer engagement and long-term loyalty.
Experience in online, digital, or e-commerce marketing is preferred but not mandatory. Due to access to confidential information, the role requires strong judgment, discretion, and a deep sense of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand & Strategic Planning
Develop mid-term brand strategies to build value, sales, and market share
Align local P&L targets with global brand objectives
Analyze competitive landscape to identify risks and opportunities
Ensure consistent representation of brand philosophy, tone, and positioning
Partner with Digital Marketing, Commercial, and CRM teams to execute plans
Prepare internal and external presentations
2. 360 Marketing (Consumer Marketing)
Define and validate media strategies across digital and online channels
Design CRM customer journeys across online and offline ecosystems
Optimize marketing strategies based on consumer segmentation
Maximize performance across online (brand.com, 3rd-party) and offline touchpoints
Oversee day-to-day operations of brand.com
Review creative assets for quality and brand alignment
Manage influencer partnerships, contracts, and content direction
3. Product Marketing
Develop strategies for categories, hero products, and new product launches
Lead launch planning, demand forecasting, pricing, and promotional strategy
Support retail marketing and in-store activations
Manage product lifecycle, pricing, and visual asset governance
Oversee VMD, in-store tools, and merchandising guidelines
4. Budget Management
Manage marketing budgets and optimize ROI
Oversee P&L management
5. Brand Stewardship
Integrate brand DNA, craftsmanship, and values into all marketing initiatives
Prioritize meaningful, long-term consumer relationships over short-term sales campaigns
Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
Apply a “conscious craft” approach—ethical, intentional, impact-aware decision-making

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
7+ years of related marketing experience, including team leadership
Strong communication skills; fluent in Japanese and English
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
Ability to work through ambiguity and make sound commercial decisions
Excellent project management skills
Preferred: Familiarity with online, digital, or e-commerce marketing (CRM, social, EC)

Working Conditions
Standard working hours: 7.5 hours/day (60-minute break)
Flexible hours with core time of 10:30–16:00
