About the Company:

They are currently looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee operations within the Accounting Department at their Japan Branch.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee, analyze, and review all reports submitted to local regulatory bodies.
Manage all accounting-related functions for the branch.
Ensure the accuracy of financial statements and handle local regulatory reporting tasks.
Drive improvements in the reporting process for regulatory submissions.
Coordinate with external tax advisors to support tax return preparation.
Lead the accounting team, ensuring all deliverables meet internal quality standards.
Act as the liaison with internal/external auditors and relevant regulatory authorities.
Contribute to business projects and provide expert insights on regulatory compliance.
Qualifications and Experience:
At least 5 years of experience as an Accounting Manager within a banking institution (foreign or domestic).
Deep understanding of Japan GAAP and IFRS, particularly as they apply to financial products.
Experience working with regulators and handling audits.
Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Strong leadership skills with a team-oriented mindset; able to work independently when needed.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Business-level fluency in both Japanese and English.
CPA, certified tax accountant, or Nissho Bookkeeping Level 1 or 2 qualifications are a plus.
