Business Analyst (E-commerce / Salesforce Commerce)

Position Overview

A global technology consulting firm specializing in enterprise CRM and e-commerce platforms is seeking a Business Analyst to support large-scale digital and commerce transformation projects. This role focuses on identifying business challenges, translating stakeholder needs into clear requirements, and ensuring delivered solutions align with business objectives.

The Business Analyst acts as a key link between business stakeholders and technical teams, working across both technical and non-technical domains to support successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and operational requirements

  • Analyze existing business processes, systems, and workflows to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities

  • Define and document detailed business and functional requirements, including user stories and specifications

  • Lead requirement-gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder meetings

  • Collaborate closely with development and delivery teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements

  • Conduct feasibility studies, impact assessments, and gap analyses between current and target states

  • Document business processes, data flows, and system interactions

  • Support testing activities by contributing to test plans, scenarios, and validation efforts

  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

  • Stay informed on industry trends, digital commerce developments, and best practices in business analysis

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience or strong knowledge of digital and e-commerce environments

  • Ability to produce clear functional and business documentation

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong understanding of client business needs and priorities

  • Comfortable working in client-facing environments

  • Fluent in both Japanese and English, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Professional certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) are an advantage
