As a Solutions Engineer, you will act as a technical consultant to customers throughout the sales process, providing both hands-on engineering support, deployment and training. 

In addition, you should also be able to demonstrate strong knowledge in the developer community in order to efficiently communicate with all teams and clients, regardless of their technical background and understanding.

In summary, responsibilities include:

  • Be a technical lead and provide technical strategy to both customers and internal teams

  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify customer goals and needs

  • Work with engineers and product teams in product planning, partner with your team for customer support and on-boarding, and act as dedicated technical point of contact throughout the process

  • Lead technical implementation, demos and trials

  • Support customers with integration on private cloud

  • Hands-on coding and execute necessary upgrades and changes as necessary


  • Native Japanese and business-level English

  • Strong understanding of developer community, including DevOps and architects.

  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills in English

  • Great relationship building skills and a good people person

  • Ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams

  • Capacity and passion to quickly learn new technology

  • Knowledge and experience with of *nix and/or Git or Bitbucket

  • Previous experience building apps regardless of programming language

  • Knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure)

  • Basic understanding of network (HTTP, DNS, SSH, Firewall)


  • Knowledge of Docker or Linux containers

  • Experience with automation (building, testing, deployment)/CI/CD tools
