Compensation
  • Annual Salary: Approximately ¥6,000,000 – ¥8,000,000 (depending on experience and skills)

  • Bonus: Paid twice per year

  • Monthly Base Salary: Starting from approximately ¥320,000+

Work Location

Multiple office locations are available across Japan’s major technology hubs.

Role Overview

You will join a data science team within the company’s digital strategy function. The team works on solving real-world business challenges across group companies by applying data analysis and machine learning techniques.

This role involves working with experienced team members to build data-driven solutions that support strategic decision-making and operational improvements. The position also offers opportunities to explore emerging technologies such as generative AI and large language models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and potential business challenges

  • Develop hypotheses and perform data-driven analysis to support business decisions

  • Extract, clean, and process large-scale data using SQL and other tools

  • Assist in developing, testing, and evaluating machine learning models

  • Prepare analytical reports and present findings to stakeholders

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and business units

Required Qualifications

Must Have

  • At least 3 years of experience in data analysis using Python

  • Hands-on experience developing machine learning models

  • Strong SQL skills for handling large-scale datasets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications or coursework related to statistics or data science

  • Experience participating in data science competitions or analytical communities

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and related services

  • Experience working on collaborative data or analytics projects

Working Environment
  • Flexible working hours with a full flextime system

  • Standard working schedule equivalent to 8 hours per day

  • Average monthly overtime: approximately 10–20 hours
