Position Overview

The Sales & Service Engineer is responsible for supporting customers by combining technical expertise with commercial responsibility. The role focuses on maintaining customer relationships, providing on-site technical assistance, and achieving sales targets through both service and product solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support assigned customer accounts across Japan

  • Travel regularly to customer facilities to provide on-site technical support and consultation

  • Drive sales activities and meet annual revenue targets

  • Assist with equipment installations, inspections, and operational optimization discussions

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide recommendations to improve performance

  • Prepare monthly sales forecasts and operational reports

  • Build long-term relationships with customers through reliable service and communication

  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to support product and service initiatives

Note: During the first 2–3 months, the position will require increased presence at the Tokyo office for onboarding and training.

Required Qualifications
  • Degree or background in engineering (e.g., mechanical, chemical, manufacturing, or related fields)

  • Approximately 1–3 years of relevant industry experience

  • Experience in a customer-facing technical or commercial role

  • Fluent Japanese communication skills

  • Business-level English proficiency

  • Willingness to travel frequently within Japan

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience related to industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, or process industries

  • Exposure to equipment installation, commissioning, or troubleshooting

  • Existing industry network within manufacturing plants or industrial facilities
