Job Description | B2B Sales (Design-Led Office Furniture)

Position Overview

A Japan-based subsidiary of an international design-focused furniture manufacturer is seeking a B2B Sales professional to support business growth in the Japanese market. This role centers on developing long-term partnerships with dealer networks and architectural/design firms, while delivering value-driven proposals that align with the brand’s design philosophy and product positioning.

Key Responsibilities

1. Dealer & Channel Sales

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing dealers and sales partners

  • Prepare proposals, coordinate pricing, and manage quotations

  • Oversee project schedules, product specifications, and post-delivery follow-up

  • Introduce new product lines and support showroom and exhibition activities

2. Architect & Designer (A&D) Sales

  • Understand client workstyles, spatial concepts, and overall project objectives

  • Deliver product presentations and proposals aligned with design intent

  • Support mock-ups, material selection, and product validation processes

  • Maintain existing relationships while developing new partnerships with A&D firms

3. Internal & External Coordination

  • Liaise with overseas headquarters regarding specifications, pricing, and materials

  • Collect and share updates on new products, price revisions, and technical information

  • Manage sales pipelines and project progress using CRM and ERP systems

4. Sales Targets & Performance Management

  • Contribute to team-based sales revenue and margin targets

  • Performance-based incentives are linked to achievement levels

  • Scope of responsibilities may extend across company business activities as required

Required Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Experience in B2B sales (industry background not mandatory)

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Interest in design, interiors, and workplace solutions

  • Willingness to develop English skills for communication with global teams

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in furniture, office furniture, contract furniture, or project-based sales

  • Experience working with architectural or design firms

  • English reading and writing skills (spoken ability is a plus)

  • Project management experience

  • Familiarity with CRM or ERP systems such as Salesforce

Compensation

Annual salary range: approximately JPY 4,000,000 – 6,000,000
Final compensation determined based on experience and performance-linked incentives
