Position Summary
The Business Development Executive is responsible for acquiring new clients and maintaining strong relationships within a designated sales territory. This role involves analyzing market potential, developing sales strategies, and ensuring that sales goals related to market penetration, revenue, and profitability are met. The position also requires close coordination with internal departments to ensure smooth operations and high-quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Client Management
Identify and research potential clients and key decision-makers
Initiate contact and schedule meetings with prospective clients
Plan and execute client visits, including route planning
Build and maintain a strong client base
Conduct sales meetings and presentations to secure new business
Follow up on leads from trade shows and other sources
Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to the assigned region
Monitor market trends and competitor activities, and report findings to management
Collaborate with management on pricing strategies and special offers
Prepare and submit proposals with support from internal teams
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities
Submit timely travel and expense reports
Attend internal sales meetings, training sessions, and industry events
Represent the company at trade shows and conferences
Stay informed about industry developments and competitor offerings
Internal Collaboration
Ensure effective communication and coordination with other departments
Support the fulfillment of customer commitments made by operational teams
Help maintain consistent and efficient customer service delivery
Build and manage a network of partners or intermediaries to support sales efforts
Reporting and Feedback
Keep management informed of sales performance, client developments, and any significant issues
Provide feedback on marketing initiatives and competitor activities
Share customer feedback, suggestions, and concerns with relevant teams
Report on current proposals and assess their likelihood of success
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or a related field
Fluency in the local language and working proficiency in English
Ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients across functions
