  • Monthly base salary from ¥340,000

  • Bonuses: Twice a year (July and December)

About the Role

As a Lead Front-end Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating digital solutions that support approximately 4,000 Toyota dealerships across Japan. Your work will help enhance the customer experience and streamline dealership processes through cutting-edge technology and creativity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain front-end systems for dealership DX services

  • Define requirements, design UI, code, test, and release new front-end features

  • Refactor and improve the performance of existing front-end services

  • Lead front-end engineering efforts in projects like:

    • AI Manager: Proposal tool using Azure OpenAI

    • Quick Quote Comparison: Streamlined vehicle estimate generator

    • Easy Video Proposal Generator: Personalized visual pitch tool

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of modern front-end development experience (e.g., React.js)

  • Experience leading engineering teams

  • Experience integrating UI/UX designs into web apps

  • Familiarity with GitHub or similar version control systems

  • Experience consuming APIs (GraphQL/REST) from front-end

  • Understanding of UI/UX design principles

  • Team development experience using Git Flow or similar branching strategies

Nice to Have

  • Experience working at a company managing its own web services (B2B or B2C)

  • Experience developing SPAs (Single Page Applications)

  • Next.js development experience

  • Experience with AWS static hosting (S3 + CloudFront)

  • Close collaboration with back-end engineers

  • Proven track record of front-end performance optimization
