About the Role
This position offers a chance to join a leading financial technology platform as a network engineer, where you'll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing a high-performance trading infrastructure. The role involves supporting both internal teams and external clients with a focus on low-latency, high-reliability systems. Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day operational support for network infrastructure and assist internal/external stakeholders with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Plan and implement network maintenance and configuration changes, which may occasionally require weekend or after-hours work.
Design and implement tailored network solutions based on specific business or customer needs.
Collaborate with telecom providers and hardware vendors to resolve issues.
Configure and install network devices, including setting up firewall rules and access control lists (ACLs).
Secondary responsibilities:
Mentor junior team members and offer technical guidance.
Identify opportunities to improve operational tools and processes.
Create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and administrative records.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or 3–5 years of relevant network engineering experience.
Strong interest in network management and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing as a strong team player.
Experience in routing, switching, and firewall operations.
Industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are a plus.
Detail-oriented, accountable, and capable of working under pressure.
Comfortable interacting with vendors and clients.
