Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational support for network infrastructure and assist internal/external stakeholders with troubleshooting and issue resolution.

  • Plan and implement network maintenance and configuration changes, which may occasionally require weekend or after-hours work.

  • Design and implement tailored network solutions based on specific business or customer needs.

  • Collaborate with telecom providers and hardware vendors to resolve issues.

  • Configure and install network devices, including setting up firewall rules and access control lists (ACLs).

Secondary responsibilities:

  • Mentor junior team members and offer technical guidance.

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational tools and processes.

  • Create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and administrative records.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or 3–5 years of relevant network engineering experience.

  • Strong interest in network management and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing as a strong team player.

  • Experience in routing, switching, and firewall operations.

  • Industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are a plus.

  • Detail-oriented, accountable, and capable of working under pressure.

  • Comfortable interacting with vendors and clients.
