Regional Account Executive (Off-Premise)
Position Overview
The Regional Account Executive is responsible for strengthening and optimizing product distribution across local retail channels such as supermarkets, drugstores, and other off-premise outlets. The objective of this role is to drive sales growth, expand product presence, and increase market share within assigned territories.
This position covers designated areas within the Japan region (such as parts of Tokyo or Sendai). The role manages key accounts in the territory, handling responsibilities that range from developing sales strategies and promotional proposals to expanding product distribution, increasing store coverage, monitoring KPIs, and implementing improvement initiatives.
The workload is approximately divided into 70% head-office-related responsibilities (planning, negotiations, reporting, analysis) and 30% field-based activities (store visits, retail execution, relationship building).
The role reports to the Regional Sales Manager overseeing off-premise sales in the northern region of Japan.
Because the position covers multiple territories and key accounts, it requires a broad scope of responsibility and strong ownership. The role offers significant autonomy, and individual performance directly impacts business results. Key Responsibilities
Sales Planning & Execution
Develop and execute area-specific sales strategies
Propose and implement promotional campaigns tailored to key accounts
Drive product distribution expansion and shelf presence in retail outlets
Identify new business opportunities and growth channels within the assigned territory
Account Development & Relationship Building
Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners
Negotiate terms, placements, and promotional initiatives
Support retail partners in maximizing sales performance
Sales Management & Analysis
Monitor sales performance and KPIs
Analyze data to identify growth opportunities and performance gaps
Propose and implement corrective actions to improve results
Prepare reports and forecasts to support business planning
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 3 years of B2B sales experience
Valid driver’s license
Interest in developing English language skills (business-level English is an advantage)
Strong growth mindset and high energy level
