【COMPANY OVERVIEW】 
This is an American multinational company that manufactures and markets chemical products for both consumer and industrial markets.

In Japan, this role plays a key part in delivering on-site technical support and expanding sales of Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) products. The position will also cover sales responsibilities related to core polyurethane components. The primary focus is to manage sales channels—such as distributors, dealers, and direct clients—to drive rapid business growth and meet annual targets through value creation.

【JOB RESPONSIBILITIES】
Scope:

Approximately 70% of responsibilities will focus on SPF-related sales and field technical support; 30% will involve sales of core polyurethane products.

Key Duties:

  • Manage and grow the existing customer base, while actively acquiring new clients to increase market share.
  • Achieve sales goals ethically and in compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Sales, Technical, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Production.
  • Drive continuous improvement in performance, with a strong focus on Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards.
  • Develop and execute product stewardship plans.
  • Ensure all business activities comply with relevant EHS policies and objectives.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with current customers through high-quality service and support.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, trade shows, and strategic outreach.
  • Meet defined sales targets in terms of revenue and unit volume within set timeframes.
  • Provide expert technical assistance to support both new and existing business, including troubleshooting production issues and recommending effective solutions.
  • Offer market insights, customer feedback, and competitor analysis to help improve products and services.

【REQUIREMENTS】 
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Familiarity with the Japanese chemical industry and insulation application techniques.
  • Strong skills in analysis, communication, negotiation, and influencing.
  • A strategic mindset with a focus on results and sound decision-making ability.

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of sales experience in chemical products, preferably with a manufacturer or trading firm in the construction materials sector.
  • A technical or engineering background is advantageous.
  • English proficiency is a plus.
