 The Company retails perfume, cosmetics, skin, body, and hair care products, and other related beauty aids.

 

Position Overview

This role focuses on driving sales performance, managing Beauty Advisors (BAs), and optimizing stock and assortment in the Travel Retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Sell-Out Management (30%)
  • Achieve sales targets at each point of sale across designated countries.

  • Develop and execute retail strategies and action plans, including GWPs, staff incentives, and high-performing products.

  • Lead promotional and in-store activity setup to enhance sell-through.
Beauty Advisor (BA) Management (30%)
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations of BAs.

  • Ensure all BAs adhere to brand grooming and service standards.

  • Coordinate continuous training in partnership with the training team.

Client & Account Management (20%)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners and store operations.

  • Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers on stock planning, allocation, and movement.

Retail Excellence (10%)
  • Manage counters, ensuring merchandising, planograms, testers, POSMs, and GWPs are properly executed.

  • Implement brand visual guidelines and ensure effective launches and animations.

Market Intelligence (10%)
  • Collect and analyze market data (competitor activities, distribution trends, etc.).

  • Submit monthly market insight reports to management and identify new opportunities for growth.

Travel Requirements
  • Travel up to 30% of the time within Japan for store visits and business meetings.

  • Regular visits include:

    • Narita Airport: 2x/month

    • Haneda Airport: 2x/month

    • Osaka Airport: 1x/month

    • Other airports in Japan: Once every 3 months

    • Hong Kong Office: As needed for regional meetings

 

Requirements

Language Skills
  • Business-level English (fluency a strong plus)

  • Native-level Japanese

Experience
  • Minimum 2 years in brand business or a related field

  • Experience in travel retail or luxury beauty preferred

  • Store management or sales training experience is a plus

Skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Ability to manage time and prioritize effectively

  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong influencing and persuasion capabilities
