Job Title: Gaming & Esports Specialist
Location: Tokyo, Japan

Position Overview

We are looking for a Gaming & Esports Specialist to support and manage partnerships with gaming publishers and esports events. This role involves handling end-to-end partnership activation, contract coordination, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic reporting. The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between the company and game publishers—particularly within Japan—and contribute to global initiatives led by the headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership & Publisher Management

  • Act as the primary contact for Japanese game publishers to build and manage long-term collaborative relationships

  • Support global publisher partnerships executed in Japan in cooperation with the international headquarters

  • Oversee partnership agreements, coordinating with legal teams (internal and external) to ensure contracts reflect commercial objectives, including aspects related to intellectual property and media rights

  • Ensure that all activities are executed in line with contractual terms and brand standards

Activation Planning & Execution

  • Lead planning, execution, and evaluation of partnership activations at gaming and esports events

  • Set clear goals, timelines, and deliverables for each initiative

  • Conduct post-event analysis to assess success and provide recommendations for future improvements

  • Collect, analyze, and report performance metrics and insights to key internal stakeholders

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal departments including Brand Marketing, Event Marketing, Media, and Talent Management to align resources and strategies

  • Support the creation of marketing assets in collaboration with brand teams, particularly those involving in-game content, advertising, and co-branded campaigns

Reporting & Presentations

  • Prepare and deliver regular updates and reports to key stakeholders on project progress, outcomes, and strategic impact

  • Provide strategic recommendations based on performance analysis and industry trends

Market Insight & Strategy Development

  • Stay current with gaming and esports industry trends, best practices, and market developments

  • Contribute insights to help shape forward-looking strategies and maintain competitive advantage

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3–5 years of experience in gaming partnerships, esports, or related project management

  • Proven experience negotiating agreements with game publishers, with familiarity in contract terms related to IP and media rights

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; detail-oriented with a data-driven approach

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to engage stakeholders across all levels

  • Proactive, collaborative, and eager to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • In-depth understanding of the gaming and esports ecosystem

  • Creative, solutions-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership
