Job Description | Manager, Supply Chain Management
Position Summary
A global provider of technology-enabled service solutions is seeking a Supply Chain Management Manager to oversee daily supply chain operations in Japan. This role is responsible for executing supply chain strategy across inventory control, procurement, warehousing, logistics, and repair network coordination, while ensuring stable operations and continuous performance improvement.
The ideal candidate is highly operational, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing vendors and cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
Maintain accurate inventory levels across retail locations, warehouses, and in-transit stock
Lead cycle counts, reconciliation processes, and stock movement controls
Procurement Operations
Manage purchase orders, delivery tracking, and supplier coordination
Maintain procurement records and support cost optimization initiatives
Warehouse Operations
Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, storage, picking, and dispatch activities
Implement and maintain productivity, safety, and quality standards across warehouse operations
Repair Network Operations
Coordinate repair workflows and manage daily communication with service partners
Monitor repair quality, turnaround times, and partner performance metrics
KPI & Performance Management
Track, analyze, and report key operational KPIs, including inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, repair turnaround time, and unit cost
Identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions based on data insights
Issue Escalation & Resolution
Serve as the primary escalation point for inventory, logistics, and repair-related issues
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues efficiently
Vendor & Partner Coordination
Manage daily communication with suppliers, logistics providers, and repair partners
Ensure alignment on service levels, timelines, and operational requirements
Required Skills & Experience
Strong operational execution skills with high attention to detail
Solid understanding of inventory management and warehouse workflows
Ability to analyze operational data and drive process improvements
Clear and effective communication skills with both internal teams and external vendors
Strong problem-solving capability and experience managing escalations
Near-native Japanese proficiency required
Business-level English proficiency preferred
